Green Chicken Noodles (WOK style)

WOK is a great tool for cooking. You get a delicious dinner very fast, very hot and very yummy. It’s really a matter of imagination. Just by tossing a few of your favourite ingredients you can get a delicious meal in no time. My idea for this recipe was to go green and results were absolutely stunning. I did this twice in just one day, both for dinner and supper. Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cm fresh ginger root
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon wok oil
  • 1 cubed chicken breast
  • 2 scallions
  • 3 stalks of pak choi
  • 1/2 green hot pepper
  • 10 ¬†medium champignons (caps only)
  • WOK noodles
  • a handful of green beans
  • a handful of moyashi (sprouts)
  • tablespoon of dark soya sauce
  • teaspoon of honey
  • tablespoon teriyaki sauce

Preparation:

Pour in the WOK oil and pre-heat your WOK. Add the cubed chicken and fry until all sides are sealed. Add green beans chopped into around 2 cm sticks along with soya sauce and honey. Fry another 2 minutes. In the meantime you cook the noodles (amount per person and preparation should be on the package). Then add sliced champignons, hot pepper,scallions, grater clove of garlic and grated gignger root, and pak choi (white parts only). Continue frying until the champignons are soft and cooked, then pour in teriyaki sauce, add green parts of pak choi and the sprouts. Finally add the noodles and mix well, fry additional minute or two until the noodles are covered in cooking juices.
